I’ve always worked with transport. Got my drivers license in the military and drove a 12 cylinder Magirus and a flatbed, transporting tanks back and forth from shooting terrain.
In 1973 I started working as international truck driver. After 11 years on the road of Europe, I was fed up with the life in the cab of a truck and found it was about time to get an education.
In 1984 I began an education as freight forwarder and subsequently studied Transport Economy and Logistic, International Marketing and Financial Planning, at the business school. My working life has been used equally between jobs as a driver and jobs with management responsibilities.
I have never chased "money or position", the most important is the challenge and a feeling of being among the best at what I am doing rather than among the poorest of anything I could have been doing.
As mentioned elsewhere, I have a huge interest in new technology. When I am not playing on my PC, making web designs, brochures etc., I’m driving my motorbike.
Currently I drive a Suziki Bandit GSF 1200 S from 1997, a reasonable strong and powerful bike I enjoy to ride.
Whenever it’s possible “I ride the Bandit” ☺.
